Nasdaq BX Options to Upgrade Technology—Client Changes Required for Chicago Metro Area Network Connectivity

What you need to know:Nasdaq BX Options Top of Market and Depth of Market feeds will be migrating to new network connectivity for Chicago Metro Area A and B feeds, starting on September 19, 2025, after the completion of a parallel migration. During the migration, market data will be published on both the new and current A and B feeds from August 18, 2025, until September 19,2025. There will be no network connectivity changes that will require customer changes to be made for the New York Metro Area A and B feeds. |

What is changing?
The network connectivity for BX Options Top of Market and Depth of Market data offerings out of Chicago Metro Area A and B feeds will be changing.
The new connectivity details are available here UDP/IP Addresses - U.S. Derivatives Data Feeds.
Additionally, New York Metro Area A and B feeds for BX Options Top of Market and Depth of Market data offerings will be migrated to new hardware starting July 28,2025 and completed by August 1 ,2025. During the migration, customers may observe a performance change between the A and B feeds during the migration.
Why is Nasdaq making these changes?
Nasdaq will be performing a technological upgrade to improve the performance and resiliency of BX Options market data.
When will the new network connectivity out of Chicago be available?
The new BX options market data network connectivity will be available starting August 18, 2025.
How can I request access to the new network?
Existing firms must send an email to Nasdaq Data Client Success and Nasdaq Networking to initiate the provisioning process for multicast connections and provide the following information in the email in order to be connected:
- The feed(s) and/or service being requested.
- The network interface "Peer IP Address" where they would like to receive the data.
NOTE: Nasdaq will be pre-provisioning the SoupBinTCP & Glimpse connections along with connection and login details via email prior to the cutover date, September 19, 2025.
Will access to the existing Chicago network remain available after the migration?
No, the existing BX Options market data network connectivity out of Chicago Metro Area A and B feeds will be turned off on September 19, 2025.
Migration to the new network connectivity will be required to maintain connection to BX options market data feeds.
Will there be any changes to the market data messages?
No, there will be no changes to the BX Options market data messages.
Will there be testing available for these changes?
No customer User Acceptance Testing will be required.
How can firms that are not currently subscribed to BX Market Data offerings request access?
If your firm is not currently subscribed to the Nasdaq BX Options market data feeds, please complete the following agreements to receive the data.
- Data Feed Request Form - Required for all firms.
- Nasdaq Global Data Agreement - Required for all firms prior to initiation of the first Nasdaq data service only.
